Recently Raleigh and I made a trip to the drive in theater to see the new horror movie about an investigation conducted by Ed and Lorraine Warren (famed demonologists and paranormal investigators). I must say that I went into this movie with high expectations as it was written and directed by the creators of Insidious. I was not at all disappointed! The movie featured a small bit about the Warren's investigation of the haunted Annabelle doll, which while it changed a few of the minor details stayed pretty true to the facts of the story. The movie tells the story about the haunting of the Perron family and their farm house. The film is very accurate in its description of the stages of demonic possession, which to me makes the film all the more scary.
This is about all I can say without giving away any spoilers which would take away the suspense of watching the film for yourself.
The Conjuring is a MUST SEE for any and all paranormal enthusiasts and skeptics alike.

Wanting to see this too, was too busy to catch it when in the movie theatre - I'm told the USA release on DVD will be late OCT 2013 or early NOV 2013...

Eagerly waiting! Here's the trailer for those of you who haven't seen it!

The story of what the movie is based on is really interesting. I don't go to that many movies, but I happened upon an article that told the story and it was pretty fascinating.

It is about a demon possessed Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle that Lorraine Warren has locked in a glass case. Here is the story

It makes for an interesting read
