I found the NTPRT site to be fascinating and have decided to share my story with the NTPRT crew. My name is Jessie, I live in the upper northwest United States. For the past ten months I have been experiencing what can only be described as freaky. Not being a believer of the paranormal, I have been searching for logical explanations for the happenings at my house. So what happened ten months ago? I moved out of my apartment and into a rent house with a young child and 3 room mates - ever since the first week of moving into the rent house weird things have been happening to all of us, here are some of the many things that occur frequently:
Let me explain a little more about the happenings. The child (3 years old) doesn't appear to be affected by the presence. The adults have all had various encounters. None of the roommates, including myself have experienced anything quite like this until we moved into this home. I have found out this home was built in the 1960's - but have been unable to get any other information from previous residents or the landlord. Although there is activity all over the home, the master bedroom seems especially active for some reason. I did find out that the upstairs rooms (master bedroom included) was added on to the original home.
Touch : Adults have all experienced the touch phenomena - hair being messed with and the really odd pinching. There have been two cases where the touch aspect became more attention getting. In one case it felt like hands were around one of the male roommates making breathing difficult. Another case just felt like there was a heavy weight applied to me personally making it impossible to move.
Objects : All residents have experienced objects going missing. Objects range from cell phones to keys. These objects appear to vanish from the area they were left in, only to appear back in that area at a later time. There has also been one case where a lamp was thrown across the master bedroom for no obvious reason. One of the male roommates was in the room when this occurred.
Electronics : Many electronics in the house have experienced 'anomalies' - the TV in particular has had some very interesting things happen to it. Other electronics that have been acting werid are the computer, cell phones, lights and digital cameras.
Roommates : My two male roommates have both experienced hearing a female voice when no females have been home. This has happened more than once. The female voice was heard plain as day, but the speech was undecipherable.
Apparitions : There have been a few apparitions that we have spotted over the past 10 months. Included in these sightings was a black 'peppery' mist that was spotted lingering over the master bed. The other was spotted in the hallway heading toward the bathroom. Yet another was spotted in my bedroom, an appartion of a female leaning against the wall.
Noises : Many noises are heard around the house on a daily basis. Things always seem to be getting knocked over and tampered with, this activity occurs in both the main home and the garage. Noises can be heard when only one person is home. Noises include: cans being knocked over, whispers and doors closing/opening. All residents have heard their names called when no one else is home.
Keys : The master keyrack is where all roommates hang their keys. Often the keys are played with and moved (swung) in a pattern from left to right. There are no breezes, fans or air conditioner/heaters on at the time this occurs. This happens every now and then and has been spotted by all residents.
