The following list consists of components currently used by the NTPRT Crew on investigations. NTPRT conducts some experimental tests and uses some non-standard or controversial equipment in the process. These non-standard or controversial pieces of equipment are denoted with the (experimental) tag. We do not use every piece of equipment listed here on every job. DEVICE: Infrared Temperature Gun USED FOR: Reliably reading temperatures up to 20 feet away. NTPRT uses this device to determine base-line temperature readings in an investigation area. It is also used to confirm 'cold' or 'warm' spots if and when reported by crew members. STATUS: We have (1) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: Pocket Flashlight With Red Covers USED FOR: Allows field researchers to see where they are going. Red is less invasive of night vision equipment and is easier on the eyes in completely dark environments. STATUS: We have (5) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: Infrared Camera, Wired USED FOR: Time-lapse/real-time surveillance of areas, light or dark. We use these units on our DVR units for continuous recordings. STATUS: We have (8) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: Wireless Router USED FOR: Provides remote viewing of DVR while onsite and allows for uplink to internet for "live" viewing of certain jobs. STATUS: We have (1) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: ViewSonic 20" Flat Panel LCD USED FOR: Additional screen for laptop or constant monitoring of DVR in real-time. STATUS: We have (1) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: 120fps/4 Channel DVR USED FOR: Recording video from IR cameras. Also allows remote viewing via internet. 120fps/4 = ~30fps real-time recording. STATUS: We have (2) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: Ghost Box USED FOR: Hearing the spirits in real-time. This device sweeps AM or FM bands and reportedly can allow 'speaking' with other side. This device is a clone of the original unit known as a 'Frank's Box'. (experimental) STATUS: We have (1) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: TV/VCR Combo USED FOR: We use the TV/VCR combo to record static, or white noise onsite. The theory behind this is images can appear on the untuned set (in turn being recorded on the video tape). It provides one of the forms of ITC study that NTPRT is currently working on. DEVICE: EM Pump USED FOR: This device emits various levels of EMF "White Noise" energy that spirits can use to manifest or draw power from to attempt communication. We are excited to experiment with this device and will post our experiences in the NTPRT Crew forums. (experimental) STATUS: We expect this equipment to arrive in mid-November 2009. |

DEVICE: Parabolic Microphone USED FOR: This device allows for long range listening. When coupled with an EVP recorder, can potentially provide long distance EVP recordings and assist crew members in locating noises on investigations. (experimental) STATUS: We have (1) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: Tripod USED FOR: Mounting of camcorder, digital cameras and/or DVR cameras. STATUS: We have (5) of these device(s) in our inventory. |

DEVICE: Ghost Meter USED FOR: EMF readings. Similar to the cell-sensor above, except these units do not have the external probe. We plan to use these meters throughout the investigation area. They have audible tones and a bright flashing red light for quick location. STATUS: We expect (5) of these unit(s) within the next 2 weeks. |

DEVICE: K2 Meter (AKA K-II Meter) USED FOR: This is another unit designed to detect EMF readings. This piece of equipment will be carried by crew members, as opposed to the Ghost Meters which will be unmanned thoughout the investigation area. STATUS: We expect (1) of these unit(s) within the next 2 weeks. |

DEVICE: Ovilus (iPhone) USED FOR: This software app reportedly takes freqencies from the air and converts them to words. A form of EVP only realtime.The Ovilus speaks english words to certain energy levels reportedly allowing communications with the spirit world. We will post our findings in the NTPRT Crew forums. (experimental) STATUS: We expect (1) of these unit(s) within the next 1 week. |
